Recycle Your Papers Here

* It is believed in good faith that the following content can be found in the October 2008 (Number 378) edition of The Crestwood Adviser and is for general reference and/or research purposes only.  For further information regarding the information listed here, please contact The Village of Crestwood in Crestwood, Illinois. *

This is just a reminder we have a large recycling bin for newspapers at the Crestwood Village Hall, so don't just throw your newspapers away, bring them up and recycle them here.

There is a limit on our natural resources, and any time we can recycle it helps extend the life of these resources.  A portion of the garbage collected around our village is also recycled.  Even the yard waste which you are asked to separate from your regular garbage stream does not go into a landfill immediately.  It is composted.

Once this process is completed, it is used at garbage landfills.  The days of being a throw-away society are long gone.  Now we must conserve and recycle.

The quality of life for future generations is dependant on all of us to be less wasteful and to support new technology for recycling our resources.
